Description

Tetovac is a large, flat white pole bean from Serbian city, Tetovo. When cooked, has mild, delicate flavor and soft meaty texture. Tetovac White Bean is a staple of the Balkan diet. Used in many recipes including White Bean Soup, and baked bean dish. Basic preparation: Wash, rinse & soak overnight. Add 3 Cups of water / Cup of Bean, bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer covered for 50-60 minutes or until tender (add more water as needed). Whisk lightly, remove the floating foam. Flavor with butter or oil, salt to taste and any seasoning if desired. Cook uncovered over low heat until desired consistency.
